Ma’aser on a Mission
Maaser is a Jewish law that requires people to give 10% of their income to charity. The word “maaser” comes from the Hebrew words eser, meaning “10”, and kesafim, meaning “money”. The term “tithe” also appears in the Torah and may be mentioned in synagogues.
